Basel is well-known for its cultural environment and if you’re into architecture or arts. Here are these two locations which are a must for your civil wedding couple’s portraits:
Located a 15-minute drive from the old town of Basel and easily accessible from the motorway. The famous design museum offers different spots where you can enjoy creating lasting memories.
There is a huge free car park, however, depending on where you want your photos taken. I strongly recommend that you park close by or bring an extra pair of shoes until we get to the perfect corner.
Taking photos there will give you the feeling of literally being in an architectural masterpiece. And most importantly, you don’t need a permit for your photos! So just trust your photographer and enjoy creating.
The Kunstmuseum Basel, as it’s called in German. It’s in the heart of the city and can be reached by public transport. But, if you’d like to get there by car, there is a parking lot a few metres from the main entrance.
When you arrive at the museum, you will find the inner courtyard with its Northern Italian-inspired architecture, where you can pose for your photos, again free of charge.
A two metres you will have the opportunity to refresh your makeup in the museum restaurant’s bathroom. I always recommend brides to ask their makeup artists for extra lipsticks for touch-ups if necessary.
This is a wonderful option for couples who don’t want to go far away from where it will be their apero (coctel) time!
As I always suggest to my couples, feel free to share with me the desires of your location to give you suggestions or to scout for new locations for you and get unique images!
